Subscription Terms for My Chain Link Premium
IMPORTANT: These Terms of Purchase ("Purchase Terms") govern all paid subscriptions, transactions, and purchases made through the My Chain Link platform. By clicking "Subscribe & Pay" or otherwise purchasing a subscription, you agree to be bound by these Purchase Terms in addition to our Terms of Service and Privacy Policy.
Premium creators set their own subscription prices for exclusive content. My Chain Link does not take a percentage of creator earnings. Creators keep 100% of revenue generated through their subscriber paywalls, subject only to payment processor fees (PayPal) and any applicable taxes.
Note: All prices are listed in Canadian Dollars (CAD). Your payment provider may charge currency conversion fees if your account is denominated in another currency.
All payments are processed securely through PayPal. We do not store your full payment card details on our servers. By subscribing, you authorize PayPal to charge your selected payment method according to your chosen billing cycle.
You authorize us (via PayPal) to charge the applicable subscription fee to your payment method on the first day following your free trial period, and subsequently on each renewal date. You remain liable for all charges incurred prior to cancellation.
If a payment fails, PayPal will attempt to retry. If payment cannot be processed after reasonable attempts, your Premium access may be suspended until payment is received. We are not responsible for overdraft fees or charges imposed by your bank or payment provider.
New subscribers are eligible for one (1) free trial period of seven (7) days. Trials are limited to one per user account. Creating multiple accounts to obtain additional free trials is prohibited and may result in account termination.
At the end of your trial, your subscription will automatically convert to a paid subscription unless you cancel before the trial expiry date. You can cancel at any time during the trial through your PayPal account or by contacting us.
We will send you a reminder notification before your trial converts to a paid subscription, typically 24-48 hours before the trial ends.
You may cancel your subscription at any time through your PayPal account or by contacting us at support@mychainlink.ca. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period. You will continue to have Premium access until the period ends.
Except as required by applicable law, we do not provide partial refunds for unused portions of a subscription period. If you cancel mid-month or mid-year, you retain Premium access until the end of the paid period.
Refund requests are evaluated on a case-by-case basis. We may issue refunds in the following circumstances:
Initiating a chargeback or payment dispute without first contacting us may result in immediate suspension of your account. We reserve the right to contest chargebacks and provide evidence of your agreement to these terms.
Premium subscription grants access to the following features, subject to change:
We reserve the right to add, modify, or remove Premium features at any time. Material reductions to core Premium functionality will be communicated to subscribers with reasonable advance notice.
For creators: subscribing to Premium does not guarantee any specific level of income, subscriber count, or content engagement. Your earnings depend entirely on your content quality, audience building, and pricing strategy.
You may terminate your account at any time through the Settings page. Account deletion is permanent and irreversible. If you have an active subscription, cancellation of the account does not automatically cancel your PayPal subscription. You must cancel separately through PayPal.
We may suspend or terminate your Premium access without refund if you:
Upon termination, your Premium features will be deactivated immediately. Any content you posted may remain visible according to our data retention policies. Outstanding earnings owed to creators will be paid out on the next payment cycle, minus any disputed amounts.
All Premium subscribers remain subject to our community guidelines and Terms of Service. Specifically prohibited in Premium-locked content:
Violations will result in immediate account termination, forfeiture of earnings, and may be reported to law enforcement or payment processors as appropriate.
We strive to maintain 99% uptime but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. We are not liable for temporary outages, maintenance periods, or third-party service disruptions (including PayPal processing delays).
Premium features are provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim arising from your subscription shall not exceed the amount you paid in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages.
Creator earnings are accumulated in your account and can be withdrawn via PayPal. Minimum withdrawal thresholds may apply. We process payouts on a monthly basis, typically within 5-10 business days of the withdrawal request.
Creators are responsible for reporting and remitting all applicable taxes on their earnings. We may issue tax documentation (e.g., T4A slips in Canada) where required by law.
If a subscriber initiates a chargeback for access to your locked content, the disputed amount may be deducted from your pending earnings. We will investigate chargeback claims and may reverse deductions if the claim is found to be fraudulent.
You retain full ownership of all content you create and post. By posting locked content, you grant us a limited license to host, display, and distribute that content to paying subscribers for the purpose of delivering your Premium offerings.
These Purchase Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of British Columbia, Canada, and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein, without regard to conflict of law principles.
Before initiating any legal action, you agree to attempt to resolve disputes informally by contacting us at support@mychainlink.ca. We will make good-faith efforts to resolve concerns within thirty (30) days.
Either party may bring qualifying claims in small claims court. All other disputes shall be resolved through binding arbitration administered by the British Columbia International Commercial Arbitration Centre (BCICAC) in accordance with its rules.
To the extent permitted by law, you agree to resolve disputes on an individual basis and waive any right to participate in class actions, collective proceedings, or representative actions.
We may update these Purchase Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated to active subscribers via email or in-app notification at least thirty (30) days before taking effect. Continued use of Premium after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
