1. Respecting Copyright

My Chain Link respects the intellectual property rights of others and expects everyone on the platform to do the same. Under our Terms of Service, you may only post content that you created or that you have the rights to share. Posting someone else's copyrighted photos, videos, music, or other material without permission is prohibited and may result in removal of the content and termination of your account.

3. Filing a Takedown Notice

If you believe content on My Chain Link infringes your copyright, send our designated agent a written notice that includes all of the following (as required by 17 U.S.C. § 512(c)(3)):

1. A physical or electronic signature of the copyright owner or a person authorized to act on their behalf;
2. Identification of the copyrighted work you claim has been infringed;
3. Identification of the material you claim is infringing, with enough detail for us to locate it (a link to the post or profile works best);
4. Your name, mailing address, telephone number, and email address;
5. A statement that you have a good-faith belief that the use of the material is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law;
6. A statement, made under penalty of perjury, that the information in your notice is accurate and that you are the copyright owner or authorized to act on the owner's behalf.

Please be aware that under Section 512(f) of the DMCA, anyone who knowingly makes false claims of infringement may be liable for damages, including costs and legal fees.

4. What Happens Next

When we receive a complete and valid notice, we will remove or disable access to the identified content and notify the user who posted it. Because every post on My Chain Link is captured live by the creator's own camera, most content is original, but we take every valid claim seriously and act on it promptly.

5. Counter-Notification

If your content was removed and you believe the removal was a mistake (for example, you created the content yourself or have permission to use it), you may send our designated agent a counter-notification containing:

1. Your physical or electronic signature;
2. Identification of the material that was removed and where it appeared before removal;
3. A statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good-faith belief the material was removed or disabled as a result of mistake or misidentification;
4. Your name, address, and telephone number, and a statement that you consent to the jurisdiction of the courts of British Columbia, Canada (or, if you are in the United States, the federal district court for your judicial district), and that you will accept service of process from the person who filed the original notice.

When we receive a valid counter-notification, we may restore the content after 10–14 business days unless the original claimant notifies us that they have filed a court action.

6. Repeat Infringer Policy

My Chain Link maintains a strict repeat-infringer policy. Accounts of users who repeatedly post content that is the subject of valid takedown notices will be terminated. We track valid notices and, in appropriate circumstances, disable and terminate the accounts of repeat infringers as required by 17 U.S.C. § 512(i).

7. Canadian Users (Notice-and-Notice)

My Chain Link is operated from British Columbia, Canada. Under Canada's Copyright Act, we forward notices of claimed infringement from copyright owners to the affected user where technically feasible, and we retain records of such notices as required by law. Canadian rights holders may use the same contact above.
